Maggie, the owner is a wonderful person. The whole place is juwel! She provides you with any kind of information, can assist you with your travel plans into the desert, etc. we had the best dinner during our travel through Marocco

Very beautiful, well designed riad nearby the Sahara. Perfect, idyllic location. The owner speaks French and English. She cooks marvellous Maroccan food and gives you good advice for trips in the Sahara. A quiet place where nature is nearby and all around you. The luxury of the silence and the sky full of starts is overwhelming!

Best thing is the location...M'Hamid IS at the end of the road, from there it is the desert, and that is a very, very special place to see. le drom blanc is a nice place - beautiful interior in the riad, good food made by Omar - we were the only guests and he were the only staff we did see, but he took perfectly good care of everything and was very informative about everything.

the price - our stay in M`Hamid was by far the most expensive part of our trip. If you travel on a budget - and in the low season - do not book beforehand because you certainly will be able to negotiate a much lower price once you are in M´Hamid. We payed 45 euros per personne for 6 hours on dromedaire - a high price, but arranged by the riad. Certainly you can get a lower price just walking down the mainstreet - the only streeet, in fact - but what disappointed me the most was not to pay that price, but the sad fact that our desert-guide did steal like 150 euro from us. So if you you go on a tour booked by the riad make sure that your wallet is never out of sight....
